PNN is the national interest organization for PhD candidates in the Netherlands. We represent PhDs at a national level and are therefore a discussion partner for, among others, members of parliament, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, the UNL, the NFU, the KNAW and AcademicTransfer. In addition, we organize various annual meetings and work closely with the AOb (General Union of Education), the FNV (Federation of Dutch Trade Unions) and Eurodoc (European PhD consultation). At our four-yearly general member meetings, the representatives of the local PhD organizations of all Dutch universities and UMCs consult with each other.

- General board member with the portfolio Labour conditions – Universities (Dutch proficiency is required).
- General board member with the portfolios Open Science and Recognition & Rewards (Dutch proficiency is required).
- General board member with the portfolio PhD Wellbeing
